There is no set age to start anti-aging injections because everyone is different. Some may look ten years younger, others ten years older.
The key is to start as soon as the first signs of aging appear. By incorporating small, gradual injections into a preventative approach, you can achieve a natural and lasting effect. This way, it's not about age, but about the moment when the signs of aging become visible.
The main factor in skin aging is exposure to sunlight, even on cloudy days. Therefore, it is crucial to apply SPF 50+ sunscreen daily to the face, neck, décolleté, and hands, even in winter. In summer, it is recommended to reapply two to three times a day.
For a lower environmental impact, it's best to choose an ocean-friendly sunscreen. There are different types of sunscreens, such as mineral sunscreens, very white sunscreens, suitable for rosacea-prone skin, and other textures. It's important to find the product that's most comfortable for you.
For the upper third of the face, botulinum toxin is the recommended treatment. In this area, the goal is not to add volume, but to relax the muscles responsible for wrinkles. Over time, the muscles contract more strongly and the skin loses its elasticity, causing wrinkles to appear.
Another benefit of botulinum toxin is its effect on eye shape. As we age, the upper eyelid droops slightly, changing the shape of the eyes. Injecting botulinum toxin into the crow's feet and the tail of the eyebrow can help prevent this drooping, giving a more youthful appearance.
Expression lines are mainly caused by facial movements, especially in the upper part of the face. The most common are the frown line (between the eyebrows), forehead wrinkles, and crow's feet. It is difficult to prevent these wrinkles without losing all expressiveness.
The gold standard treatment for these wrinkles is botulinum toxin. For effective prevention, it is recommended to begin injections as soon as small marks begin to appear, rather than waiting for a pronounced dermal break. At this early stage, a mild "baby botox" treatment can be used to prevent expression lines from becoming permanent.
Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally produced by the skin, particularly by cells called fibroblasts. These cells also produce elastin and collagen, contributing to the thickness and quality of the skin.
Over time, hyaluronic acid production decreases, which can lead to a loss of volume and hydration in the skin. Hyaluronic acid injections help compensate for this loss. This molecule is capable of capturing up to 100 water molecules, acting as a powerful moisturizer. Injecting this gel not only helps maintain skin hydration but also creates volume.
